What exactly does "Bad Login" mean?

    Sometimes when I try to log into my server, it will say "Bad Login," What does this mean?

    My assumption is that the "Bad Login" error message means that you tried to connect to your server and it failed to authenticate your Minecraft account (as per online mode).

    This has happened to me multiple times in the past on my own server, but restarting Minecraft usually fixes the problem.
