Hey, I need a plugin that players can vote for day. Example: [player1] /dvote [DVote] Type /dvote day/night [Player1] /dvote day [DVote] Player1 Has voted to make it day time! Permissions: dvote.day dvote.night This is a pretty simple plugin it looks like. Hope you guys can make it! Please say your making the plugin before making it, don't want multiple people making the same plugin.
I think it's more along the lines of: Someone votes for day time The plugin notifies the rest of the server The plugin keeps a running tally of the amount of players that voted for day time If the amount of players that voted for day time is greater then half(or some other configurable amount) the amount of players on the server, the vote will be successful and the plugin will set the time to day time. Correct me if I'm mistaken.
rektok How should day or night 'win'? Should it be like the the first to a specified number (config.yml)? Oh, also, should a player only be able to vote once per time? EDIT: Maybe a time limit? Like after a few minutes, the plugin will find out which one had more votes?
One flaw, In day you can't vote for night. chasechocolate How about you can vote one per 2 mins, as it will say when you try to vote again before that time. [DVote] Sorry, you can't vote till your 2 minute cool down is complete. Or some thing like that.
rektok Ok, I added in the 2 minute cooldown (which will be configurable). Will this plugin ever switch the time to day/night, or will online staff see which one is winning, and manually switch the time? Also, should it be per world (kind of like dayvote)?
When over half of the players have voted. Up to date? nah. Easier? nah. There's a guy wanting it to be 1.4.5. So.. no. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Working on my server perfectly fine. Maybe you should try it before saying no? Don't think it'll be updated though.
I know this is an old post, but I've only just noticed it and wanted to reply Just because people want things updated doesn't mean they've stopped working :\ People always assume things wont work because they haven't been recently updated. Lightvote has been working since about March 2012 with no changes and still works fine on 1.5.2. I hadn't bothered updating it as I had more important things to do and there was no need As a matter of fact another of my plugins (OtherDrops) version from about March 2012 also works fine with 1.5.2 - it only needed updating to fix bugs (in general, not version specific) and add features.
