How would I use a subdomain (asdf.example.com) as a pointer to my server? I'm using GoDaddy as the domain manager.

If you have a CPANEL go into advanced DNS managment and do the following.

Just add an A record. The IP/host/address is your server's IP, and the name/domain would be the subdomain.
Also, you might consider moving your domain to Namecheap. They have better service.

Wait no, GoDaddy isn't the A record holder, it's FatCow :/

No idea. I will never get a domain from GoDaddy. They kind of have a bad reputation. That's why I use to Namecheap for my domains, and I'm impressed.

If anyone uses FatCow, please tell me how to use their A record system to redirect to my server IP :/

    Bump :/

    Here you go!

    1) Go to http://godaddy.com and log-in!
    2) Click on the "My Account" page.
    3) Click on your domain on the "My Domains" list.
    4) On the new page that loaded, click on the "Launch" link under the DNS Management section.
    Like so:

    5) Click on the first "Quick Add" button you see at the top.
    6) It should give you two text areas. For the one closest to the left, enter what you would like the subdomain to be. (So like PLAY.host.com or MC.host.com. Only enter what goes infront of your domain like "MC" or "Play".)
    7) In the text box closest to the right enter your IP.
    8) Click on the black "Save Zone File" button at the top and your done!

    :D
