Inactive [TP/CHAT] DeathTpPlus V -DeathNotify, DeathTP, Tombstones, Tomb and more [CB 1.3.2]

    DeathTpPlus announces a death with a random message based on the death cause and allows you to teleport to the point of death It can also create a TombStone at the place you died to let you save your inventory (aka DeadMansChest).You can also create a tomb sign which can be used as respawn point and as a place of information of how often you died and what your last death cause was.

    Based on the original plugin from lonelydime. Integrates a fork of furt from cenotaph and tomb from Belphemur. And code from mung3r!


    • Use /deathtp to teleport back to where you died.
    • Optional: Charge a player an item to teleport (must be in the player's hand).
    • Optional: Vault support for economies

    • Customizable messages for every kind of death.
    • Supports multiple messages per kind of death, chosen randomly when someone dies.
    • Custom colors per message.
    • PvP messages that show the attacker as well as what they killed with. Item names have been cleaned up to look pretty.
    • Optional: Show tombstones where someone died and how they died.
    • Optional: CraftIRC support

    • Create a TombStone where you die and save your inventory.
    • Highly Configurable via Permissions

    • Create a Tomb Sign which holds the following information: The name of the player, the number of times he died and what was the last cause.
    • Can be used as respawn point after death
    • There can be more than one Tomb
    • You can configure if the respawn point is based upon the world the player is in or across worlds

    • Streaks (Show a custom message when someone has killed a custom set of people or died a custom amount of times.)

    There are two lines in the default config.yml that say:
    # Keep Sign and Chest for people with FREE chest and sign permission on quicklooting?
    # true = people can keep them, false = Sign and Chest are removed
    What's the actual option we're setting to true or false there? For example, directly above it there is
    but the code line above seems to only give us the description and true/false options, no actual command (or whatever it's called?) to be setting to true or false. Did I miss somethng?

    if you quickloot AND you have free chest and signs you will keep the free chest and the sign (so you get one sign and chest for free) otherwise the sign and chest are just gone (that is the old behaviour)

    that only works if you don't quickloot (as otherwise the tombstone is destroyed directly), so if you can open the chest and get the stuff out but DON'T take the chest and sign afterwards the chest and sign will be removed after the given time..

    perhaps I need to word it different?

    I am posting a sign in-game that says
    The sign that's landing on the target block is
    0 deaths
    Edit: Nevermind, just gave myself
    instead. (I hate doing that.)

    I only wanted the Tomb aspect of the plugin.

    uupps..... :oops: .. ok.. I will need to look into that... could be that I either forgot a line of code OR that I just dropped the function because it wasn't necessary and forgot to remove the lines in the config.

    Ah ok. You're welcome. :)

    I love the plugins you're managing. I actually like a lot of the stuff in this plugin too, but I'm trying to go with a "minimal magic" sort of feel on this round of my server, so less teleporting around. Players leave tombstones where they die, but DeathControl is keeping their loot with them. (And Tomb and DwarfForge are both in my TOP TEN plugins.)

    thanks... well I try to keep them up to date.. and add stuff... I also liked them a lot that is why I started coding again.. didn't want to see them die.

    Hey I'm coming from using the TombStone Mod and I like the new integration. One thing I'm having trouble with is I can't identify where I can allow non-op users to get a free chest/sign on death. I assuming I'm just missing something in the config file. I've spent the last few hours looking over it and I just can't determine which one it is.

    I love this plugin. Very cool killstreaks too!

    i'd like to report an incompatibility with MobArena

    it seems both plugins are using the same death message :)

    so whenever someone dies, it uses MobArena's default message.

    Could this be fixed?
    This would be the best death plugin if ever :)

    you need to look into permissions for that,

    and YEAH I know that that pages s**** big time... if somebody can whack me up a nice layout in WikiCreole or whatever else dev.bukkit supports I WILL direclty put it up and put your name on the frontpage..

    hmm.. temporary problem with github? or something on your side? That is an error in SSL, which means encryption isn't working correctly.

    You can disable update checking if you want.

    atm deathTpPlus disables itself completly in MobArena, I can look into it but that would require support from MobArena too because otherwise you see 2 messages.

    well I put up the issues on github, but don't hold your breath before next year... I don't know how much time I have to code in the next days on this.

    Ok, I removed the stuff from the config... somebody requested removal of the free sign / chest... but when you quickloot you never get that sign or chest.. so you are even loosing one sign and chest if you don't give a free sign / chest..

    so atm it is:

    quickloot should be used with free sign / chest (via permissions!!)
    without free sign / chest you shouldn't use quicklooting.

    Version 3.3.1597 released:

    • Support for LWC 4
    • Fix Compass directions to use NewNorth
    • Remove payed message when amount is 0.0 (needs testing)
    • moved messages from info to informational, renamed error logging to informational
    • fixed bug with unknown cause of death/deathtype

    Hello, absolutely in love with this plugin. I played with the config file and fixed the whole spawning above if you died in a cave or something. Only 1 issue (if it really is a problem...) The 3600 second time limit on a chest before it is destroyed....can i remove that? Or at least make it longer? I just had my chest get destroyed when i was like 1 block away from it lol (before i fixed the top block thing i had to dig all the way down to get to my chest) Thank you in advance. Great plugin.

    sure... you should just need to change the value in the config and reload / restart the server... if that doesn't work tell me it should be a bug than.

    Thank you, at first i followed the config's normal settings where "0: = Disabled" that didn't work. "Totally derp on my part for not just typing "false" @ "# Remove TombStone after RemoveTime". The timeout is now disabled. I don't understand how 3600 seconds ran out that fast though lol is it 1 hour real time? Oh, doesn't matter thanks lol.

    Would there be any way to make death messages on a per world basis.
    Ex: All deaths in world1 are announced only to that world. World2 would not see the deaths of those players.

    I figured out what happened: When I downloaded the updated version, it wasn't pasted over the one I had because the server was online.

    here's a little problem that rarely happens ... When we quickloot after we die, it destroys the chest, but it gives us nothing, as if it were empty. We lose our entire inventory.
