"Took too long to log in"

Just yesterday, my Bukkit server was working completely fine, but when I try logging in today it tries loading but eventually takes me to a screen with the following error:

Disconnected by server
Took too long to log in

I also tried it on another computer and that didn't work either. What's wrong?

basically... i can log in if i type in localhost, because im the host, so ive still been working on improvving the server, but none of my friends can join, and i cant join using my ip like i used to:/

 

I can't even log into localhost...

Anyone?

That doesnt fix my problem because ive tryed to reset my server alot and it is updated so.

 

i've got the same problem

 

Stuff that can block your friends

1. Not port forwarded
2. Firewall blocking their acces.
3. Bad internet.

etc, etc..

 

3. bad internet.. and if i use local host?

 

Im not sure why your localhost wont work, try going into yout properties txt and check server ip
If blank try write 'Localhost' that helped me out when i had the problem.

 

same prob.. now i just can't even connect to server even if blank WTF!!

Are you having the same problem as Feriscool the “Took too long to log in”, or the problem H8ER123 was having “being able to login using localhost but no one being able to connect remotely”.

 

You're running a 1.1 server and connecting with a 1.2.3 client, is my guess.

 

I have the same problem, and i'm running a 1.2.3 server with a 1.2.3 client.
