Tekkit Support

Herro,
I hope to start a Minecraft server in the future, a Tekkit Server, to be specific. Can you install Bukkit alongside Tekkit?

Don't understand what you're saying. Bukkit and Tekkit are both server wrappers.

 

Can I have a server with Tekkit (EE, IC and BC) as well as Bukkit, so I can install Bukkit plugins (Factions, HeroChat)?

 

Tekkit is a modpack. It uses bukkit as a server.

 

tekkit is the modpack and bukkit is the server so you have it both
and u can use plugins

 

Be aware that Bukkit is at version 1.2.5 where tekkit is still on 1.1 so not all plugins will work.

 

There are alternatives to Tekkit, FYI. They basically just use the build of CraftBukkit from MC Port Central. But you can use the MCPC build and associated mods yourself, independent from Tekkit.

EE, BC, IC, even RP are all available for CraftBukkit 1.2.5 from MC Port Central, and you can use them along with your Bukkit plugins, today.
