Spawners are disabled

On my server, whenever I try to buy a 52:## and place it, it says "placing default spawner (either this spawner is invalid or disabled) when I try to use /ss add and place it, it shows up with the mob but nothing spawns.

Any help is appreciated <3

EDIT: I've enabled them in esentials config, still nothing
