Hey, every time my server starts to hit 100+ players the tps drops by a ton. The tps drop is not really noticeable, even when its down to 8 or less. I measure the tps with essentials /gc command.

    My specs are:

    Intel Xeon E3 1230
    16GB DDR3 RAM
    100MBPS up/down
    120GB SSD

Here are my timings after 24 hours of uptime with 140 people online.

I don't have an answer for you but rather a question. I am running a Dual Intel Xeon 5420 with 8GB RAM and I notice a SIGNIFICANT drop in tick-rate after 25+ people. Our server usually carries 60 people on average and when it is full we experience about a 2/20 Tick-rate which is terrible. I am currently creating a script to load the map into RAM hoping that will decrease server lag and tick-rate. My question to you is, what have you done to get such good results with 100+ people? Any suggestions that can increase server response time? Oh, and I am running CentOS 6.3 Final.

    Thanks,
    Christopher
