    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.

    i am so annoyng right?

    Last question, i have GroupManager, if i make myself admin my name shows red... how can i change the color?

    i did search everywere and i couldn't find a option for this.

    In the groups.yml, in your worlds folders, set the prefix for the admin group to not have a colour code in it.

    how can i setup towny, to allove fire/explosions on war( that is not the problem ), and then regenerate towns after war?

    Towns cannot be regen'd post war via towny.

    I've been trying to get Towny on my Tekkit server. Once I install the plugin, it works perfectly, until I edit the config file for Towny. Once I finish editing it and re-upload it to the server, I restart the server and get this error in console. http://pastebin.com/3QtWq7zN After that, the config is reset to the default one. I am using Towny version 0.80.1.0 on a 3.1.2 Tekkit Server. All help is appreciated.

    Is there a way for a Resident to have access to more than one town?
    Or the permissions to build to more than one town? (set by the Mayor of that town)
    Also, is there any way someone can own more than one town?

    EDIT:
    Also, how can I get the Towny chat channels prefix for iChat.
    Like how would I set it up where iChat shows what chat you are in.
    One more thing, does Towny Chat channels have an option to join and leave more than one channel?

    Residents cannot be part of more than one town, but you can read the section of the How Towny Works wikipage about Embassy plots. Mayors cannot own 2 towns at the same time. Admins can manage more than one town, read teh Mayor section of the HTW wikipage. I dont think ichat and townychat work together these days. With townychat you cannot leave a channel without doing some scripting with other plugins.

    Does anyone else use HeroChat and TownyChat?

    After updating to 1.3 it seems no one can do /tc now for town chat. All it says is "[Towny] Modes set:" and nothing else.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Can someone please help me before I go nuts!

    I play on a server with towny and I want to make it so resident can't build in towny spawn and some plots I have tried

    /t set perm on
    /t set perm off
    /plot perm on
    /plot perm off
    /t set perm resident of/on
    /plot perm resident off/on
    These all say they have changed the permissions but residents can still build there. How do I fix this??

    You should use:

    /town set perm off < turns off all perms for the town's default perm line seen in /town
    /town set perm reset < applies the default perm line in /town to all plots owned by the town (not player-owned plots.)

    If this doesn't work then you've probably given your players the towny.claimed permission nodes. They shouldn't be given those unless they are moderators on your server.

    Okay, so I'm having some problems with TownyChat and its channels... Whenever I try to change channel to local or townchat, the commands will not be recognised and I get this error in console: http://pastie.org/4924443

    I was wondering if you can make it so plots have 4 blocks in between them. So if i had one plot then 4 blocks then another plot.

    Please read the changes carefully as this is a big update with a brand new feature called TownyPerms. Information on using TownyPerms can also be found on the How Town Works wikipage.

    Hello! Having some issues with unclaimed zones and permissions. I want anyone who's a member of a town to be able to destroy and build in unclaimed zones as well as to use all items and switches. As it is right now, unless opped, a user can't beak or build anything in unclaimed zone.

    Thanks for being up front with that pastie, towny is starting fine and you're using the right versions.

    Your config is fine, using_permissions: is true.

    Your townyperms is nearly right, the residents group has towny.wild.*, it looks like you might want to remove the towny.wild.* from the nomads, if you're wanting only town members to use the wilderness.

    As for why the players cannot build/destroy in the wild I'd guess its either EssProtect or EssAntiBuild. If they have nodes which grant building access, add them to the resident section of townyperms. You might not need either plugin though, in which case you can remove them and let towny do the protecting.

    Stop your server, move your server.log out of the craftbukkit directory. Start your server, let it load completely, then stop it. A new server.log will be created, please upload it to http://pastie.org or http://pastebin.com and post the link here.
