    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.

    hello im MUSTARDJAR i had a question.im running a 1.2.4 server and today one of my admins said that the server was lagging and suggested torestart it. so i did i stopped it correctly and all that. but now. no one can login but myself. everyone is saying that the server says "cant reach server". thats all that happened i didnt mess with the ip settings or anything. any ideas why this might be happening? please help !

    Hey quick question. My server has multiple worlds and for some reason when a town is created in one of the worlds and the server is restarted the town still shows up on the list but when doing /town command it shows is has 0 plots. this is the error I get at start up.

    go into the towny config.yml and turn on debug mode, then make a new pastebin.com of your full server startup

    Okay, im having a small problem with towny. Every time someone unclaims land, it is reverting the land back to the way it was. I went into the config and disabled this option and looked for anything else that could be causing it, but when people claim land it still saves snapshots and reverts no matter how much i try to stop it. Anyone know how to fix this so it does not revert when unclaimed? I set the option in the config to false :(

    I've been using Towny for many months now and I've been especially impressed and pleased with the amount of support and dedication it's receiving from it's devs. However there is one option I've been waiting to be added, and that's the ability to add a player ass a 'town friend' and thus making it possible for them to build in someone elses town. My server doesn't use the personal plots, so resident friends won't work for that. But I feel that towny is restrictive for my players in this sense, they join one town and they are stuck to it. They grow loyal to the town so they don't want to leave it, but at the same time they can't build anywhere else either. I've asked about this a few months ago, and I was told this was a planned feature. Is this still planned now?
  13. Nothing is planned for town friends as we have alwasy been looking for ways to make joining a nation more desirable, but there are a few suggestions long those lines we are considering.

    Hi folks! I got a quick question. I updated the towny plugin in my server to the development one (1.2.4) and when I try to make a town it says "An internal error occurred while attempting to preform this command". Please Help!

    Go into the towny.jar's plugin.yml and add Transporter to the softdepend line.

    Use the dev version, which is at as of this post.

    You might need to go back into your towny backups, to before it was corrupted.

    This is a fairly new build and shouldn’t be corrupt the server isn't even public yet. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall both Towny and Transporter?

    It only stopped working when I added the new world. The towns in the main world are fine its any additional world.

  28. Your Multiworld plugin seems to not be loading/registering all the worlds at startup.
    Add Multiworld to teh softdepend line of towny's plugin.yml

    Other than that it does look like your Multiworld plugin operates strangely and may not be compatible.

    Hi I had a question about the war mode.

    I was wondering if there was a way for towns to get involved as well since some players on my server choose to stay as towns just so they don't get attacked.

    If there isn't already a way to fix this, then would you be able to add it?
