    hey guys...
    i have installed mcmmo successfully and now im testing it on my local server.
    i wanted to test if gravel turns into clay after it comes in contact with water...so i build a pit like the one in the tutorial video...but it doesnt seems to work.
    GravelToClay in the propertys file is true...

    About the Residence "Bug"
    The duping bug in residence is most likely not mcMMO's fault, as it doesn't happen with worldguard. Tell the residence author to cancel the event and setup his listener priority so that his plugin has a say before other plugins.

    Got removed. Try the GravelClay plugin that's been linked many times on the last three pages.

    Deprecated in favour of beds setting the myspawn!

    I rather hope that, come extra bukkit hooks, wolves will get exp from attacking, making them easier to level up and a more valid skill choice.
    However, the extra health thing is a great idea!

    @nossr50 you should add that :p
    And also a permission to disable exp gain for permissions groups, so that I can allow a group to use skills but not gain exp on them! :D

    mcMMO 1.0.04. CB 740. Residence 1.2.8. When people try to break blocks like diamond ore, dirt, flowers, or logs in a protected area, they not only get xp (for mining, excavation, herbalism, and woodcutting), but also get the double drops from ore and logs, and the extra drops from dirt. The block then respawns (because the area is protected). People can just sit in front of a protected block of diamond ore and hit it all day, getting free xp and diamonds. This is a MAJOR bug. I've had to disable nearly half of the skills in mcmmo to prevent this exploit.

    Ok, just for you I went and looked at his source code. He has his block break listener event priority set to highest, this means he has the same priority as mcMMO and this is what is causing the issue. I have mcMMO set to highest so that when the event gets passed around it gets passed to mcMMO last and mcMMO can check if any other plugins cancelled it. This obviously doesn't work if its passed to Residence after mcMMO. I advise he sets his listener priority to lowest so other plugins know the event has been cancelled. Now you know what to tell him.

    I'll look into this serrated strikes issue.

    • mcMMO now checks for its pvp flag being true before handling pvp interactions

    I'm still having an issue with the Mysql, Ive tried it on two differnt computers now, it keeps defaulting to the servers address insted of the address I put in the config file.

    Hi :)

    Would you consider putting in some way to tweak the .regeneration ability? I use it as a key feature in one of the classes, but it's not scaling right the way I have things set up, and some kinda multiplier would be super cool. Or is there a way to do this already and I missed it?

    @clone11 Thats strange, its set to "ipofserver" by default in the config file which of course wouldn't work at all. So it shouldn't be behaving in the manor you speak of.

    @Janb In what way would you want it tweak able?

    I tried deleting the config file and edited the Mysqlserver= again and it still doesn't go to the right server, it keeps going to my ip.

    Well, as it stands, it's based off of your total power level, correct? So maybe a way to add a multiplier or something when calculating the regen rate? I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I wanna buff it a little.
  21. It seems that since 1.04 or so, a /reload causes players to be unable to loot/drop blocks, unless they relog.

  24. Is there any way you could change how activating the Unarmed ability works? Now clicking anything with empty hands attempts to toggle it. Such as clicking CraftBook signs.

    Perhaps a configurable item to have in hand, like a stick? :p

    Another request. I don't really understand why there is a skills table. you can calculate skill level based on experience ratios. The problem is now, that if you change experience rate, the skills do not change with them. This leads to pretty obvious issues! So I'd like to ask some way to either disable the skills table (it's only a cache?), or implement a command to recalculate them. I tried setting all skills values to 0 in the table, but that seemed to reset experience for some/all player also...very odd.

    Awesome work on this plugin btw, it's very cool, one of my main reasons to finally switch to Bukkit.

    Players regenerate even if mcmmo.regeneration is off.

    Seems to be just the old players that gets this bonus, where is this information stored. I have to remove it from the players that regenerates themself.

    fixed after server restart. reload didn't fix it.

    I've been mulling this over for the past few days, but still really don't get what you mean. As far as I can picture it, you could create some sort of event hook once you reach excavation of 500 by right clicking with the shovel, switching to a bucket, then doing a kind of AOE like with farming to turn gravel into clay. This way, Nossr could add it back in with the feel that he wants.

    Personally, I haven't updated to any of the newer builds that don't have the gravel to clay in it. I also don't use the obvious rip-off that the other guy made that does the same. The reason why I don't use it is very simple, I love the gravel to clay feature. Myself, and another player on my server, go hunting for those naturally occurring gravel pits to dig out for the sulphur. Then, I use the gravel in a specially made pit using the elevator plugin, to make a 24*8*2 section of clay. All of the steps taken to do this, including making the floodgate, are very time consuming and give me that, "I'm doing a quest" kinda feel. I, in no way, am trying to force my opinions on anyone. I just liked the feature way too much to want to see it go away.

    If you want to see what I'm talking about on my server, PM me and I can give you the info. Other than this relatively small issue, I absolutely love this plugin. It makes me and my community play against and with each other.

    It's hardly a rip-off, I credit mcmmo for the idea, and the purpose of it is to have the gravel-to-clay functionality without having to install an RPG plugin. Moreover, I've incorporated features that are entirely unique. Thanks for the accusation anyways.

    I am using mcMMO 9.9 or whatever and I realized that people with 0 unarmed were 3 hitting cows with their bare hand. I adjusted my skill to 0, and I could 3 hit cows as well. Why is this? Is my server difficulty set to peaceful or something? Anyone know how to change that? Anyways, with 900 unarmed I can still only 2 hit cows. I really dislike how some of these combat skills work :(, any way I can modify damage without being a programmer? And also.... why can 0 unarmed people 3 hit cows and other animals as well D:

    Help would be appreciated! Thanks!
