Region specific lag

    Has anyone else encountered this? Never heard of it till recently when i started experiencing it. One spot of our map will have very bad server lag, like 5-10 second delays, while the rest of the map is completely lag free. Anyone else had this? Know of a possible solution?

    Most probably, someone spawned a ton of items there, either via admin or cheat, or a dupe bug, or a huge mob grinder, where nobody picks up the drops.

    Can you go there in a single player copy of that (part of the) map to investigate? If there are no major structures there, you could even delete the corresponding .mcr from your map folder.
