Solved Recipe Book Button

Hi there!
For the last couple of months, I've been working on a minigame for minecraft, purely from a plugin and resource pack.
The minigame is basically as far away from minecraft as you could ever imagine.
One issue I've been having, is the recipe book.
The existence of the button in the inventory really inferiates me, so I prefer to instead take advantage of it.
Is there an event that runs when pressing the button? I would really like to disable the opening of the recipe menu eternally, and instead use this button for other functions.

The description of the plugin sounds pretty much exactly like what you're asking for.
It doesn't have any public source but, you can decompile it to see how it's done.
