Prison Server EssentialsChat Workaround?

Hey Bukkit!

I'm looking for some help.

I have my prison server which uses custom chat colors/settings for ranks.

EssentialsChat uses the rank last applied to the user.

I'm looking for a way (could be a different plugin) that will allow me to "prioritize" the chat, to the point where if a player is A and Donor with subgroup, the subgroup has a chat priority permission node so the chat plugin will use that group chat setting rather than the A chat setting.

If someone knows of any way I could possibly do this, it'd be great.

Essentialschat grabs the primary group.
You need to assign the group you want to be shown as primary, or first, if dealing with loose multi groups such as PEX.

 

Necrodoom I get that. Is there a workaround to make it so it'll base itself off permissions or something like that?

 

Another chat plugin, or doing customised per user prefix/suffix.
Or you could assign your groups properly.

I'm thinking of just making it in the suffix... Would that work?

BTW: I'm using PEX.

 

Properly as in putting the group you want to be displayed as the primary group.
You can modify the suffix, yes.

 

Except that would mess up ranking up as it goes by your primary group and if the primary group is a donor group, it won't work.
