Plugin for Custom Recipes for existing items?

    Is it possible to create custom recipes for existing items.

    Say, making two blocks of snow = one block of ice

    I don't think so, I believe that recipe function is client-side, Therefore, plugins can't edit it, Only clientside mods can, Which would mean each server player would have to install the mod to get the updated recipes.
