PermissionsEx - "an internal error occurred"

    I've just recently purchased a 1.12.2 Bukkit server with MCProHosting, and I've got all my plugins setup and I'm working on my perms currently. PEX is being extremely annoying and I'm having trouble using it. The properties.json file is fine, but whenever I use commands in game I get an error code. My permissions.json folder is:

    If I could get some help as to why this is happening that would be greatly appreciated!!!

    @iKiza25 How did you manage to get JSON? Is that the new version thingy?
    And please post your full server log using https://pastebin.com
