New Config API?

So not so long ago I updated my API and the javadoc on NetBeans, only to discover that the Configuration class was deprecated. Now, I had read that the Bukkit team were planning an overhaul of the config API, but what are they replacing it with? What are new classes that I should use? I have yet to find them. Also, any docs?

Hopefully YAML is being replaced with JSON. :3

You can extend FileConfiguration with a JSONConfiguration, much like how YamlConfiguration extends FileConfiguration. Then submit a pull request.
