   The problem might just be rooted in my server host, Aternos but I was wondering if someone could see if something is wrong and/or test it on their server (if u see an error that might help).

   Your host is has absolutely nothing to do with this. I've fixed over 100 permissions.yml files and groups.yml files. Congrats, yours is the first that almost made me cry. Missing colons and apostrophes everywhere! Please please please, do not edit your permissions.yml file manually. Please use in-game commands instead, as they won't break your file.
