Mo Creatures Trouble

    So I installed the Mo Creatures mod to my server which is running 1.7.2, since I have installed it I have noticed a huge decrease in monster spawns, or just spawns in general, to the server. I looked through the configuration files and tried to lower the spawn frequency for every Mo Creatures mob to even out with the vanilla spawner but have not seemed to have got that working. Every time I try to set the time to night I look around and I will find maybe 1 or 2 monsters roaming around, how do I get more monsters to spawn with Mo Creatures? I can't seem to find any answers on this other than Mo Creatures taking up all the spawns but even that doesn't make much sense if I'm not seeing to many mobs to begin with.
