Inactive [MISC] ChairCraft v1.2.7 - Seats in Minecraft [1.1-R4]

Due to a bug in Minecraft, you will only see yourself sitting as normal. Others will see you under the chair.​

Please do not report this, it is a known bug. It cannot be fixed until a bug in Minecraft, introduced in 1.6, gets fixed.​

ChairCraft makes it possible to make chairs in Minecraft!
Permission-node: 'chaircraft.sit'
You need to sneak and right click to sit!
It is configureable to check for signs at the sides, and the max width of a chair (or sofa).
A chair can be a stone or wood stair or a slab (any type):

Me too . people goes up from the chair ( before that never do that ) why ?

 

Before ? on 803 .. now on 1.6.6 builds this seems to be broken little bit same bugs as above..

I have two problems:

a) healing is on
b) people can get stuck on a chair. They stand up but some time later they are back in the chair again. I think it has to do with can't keep up on the server but it is annoying, especially when the "chair" isn't there anymore.

 

nope. My friends kept commenting oon how inappropriate me sitting in a chair with an arrow up my butt looked....so no, it's not normal

 

pls update to 815. i dosnt sit on the "chair" i sit above the chair into the air

OK, so, about the bug many has spoken about already:

When sitting on a stairs you appear to yourself one block above the stairs, still in sitting position;
Others see you sitting normally;
On slabs you sit like on a full-height block (and you can see the arrow sticking out of your crotch);
On slabs it looks the same from the other's perspective as it is for you.

There, it's all based on my own experience and may differ to others.

 

Oh, that bug has something to do with arrows ascending after they land on a block :s

Had a crash a while ago. After that, every time the server started, it ended up in some sort of loop that kept GC permanently busy on 5 threads.

After going through all plugins, it ended up being ChairCraft. I don't know how, I can only think someone somehow made a chair somewhere that can crash the entire thing to the ground...beware.

 

Snowy if he already knows y doesnt he fix it? Or at least tell us hes working on it

when you have a room that has a roof 2 sqaures above the floor and sit you cant get out and can only die to get out from it

 

@vildaberper It only affects what you see. Other people still see you sitting like normal.

Theres not much I can do, but Im currently trying to make it look good for the person sitting as well as those around.
Seems like its client side, but as I said, Im working on it.

 

@vildaberper Could you add a config setting to not allow you to sit while sneaking? This would fix a conflict with Showcase, since Showcase has to use half-blocks now.

It looks like this placement bug is actually not related to your plugin at all, as ALL arrows I shoot get pushed upwards soon as they land... You still pick them up from their actual landing area, however.

Hmm, when I want to sit on woodenstairs I sit on the arrow instead of the stairs :/.

Hey, while you in work, can you please add feature, so chair can work with 1 sign added? because when you place chair near wall, you just cant place second sign. So, you need to set sigh-check to false, but that allows to sit on stairs too, and thats not always good.

 

820 because multiword teleportation is broken in 818. Same thing happens on 818 though, I'm guessing it's a 1.6 thing.

 

...Im telling it to not use the half-step block yet it is. And every time my users want to make a showcase it has them sit down. Am I doing it wrong or is there an issue?

ChairCraft has not yet been updated to prevent sitting down if sneaking. Wait for an update.
