  4. I have an idea to turn this in a plugin.
    But i don't even know how to make one. :(

    You can have 2 options:
    1) Start a new village
    2) Use an existing NPC Village.

    To start, a new village you need a [block] (maybe preferibly Iron or Gold)
    Right-click the block with a Blaze Rod and 4 Testificates will pop up toogether with the message that you succesfully created a new village.

    The idea is to use Testificates as the NPC's.
    By right-clicking them with the appropiate item to give them a 'job'.
    (this might be difficult after 1.3 since there will be trading then)

    Testificates with jobs will behave according to their job.
    Plus a night they will go indoors just like normal.
    And of course reproduce like normal. (Children can't work)
    So you'll have to expand the village to gain more 'workers'.

    Jobs:
    - Miner (pickaxe):
    Digs underground looking for materials
    (does NOT dig trough man-placed objects)
    - Lumberjack (axe):
    Goes around planting and cutting trees.
    - Hunter (sword):
    Hunts for mobs close to it's village.
    (could be trouble for player made animal farms)
    - Farmer (hoe):
    Will plant and harvest wheat (and maybe melons?) on tilted grass.
    - Archer (bow):
    Stays close to the village and attacks from a distance.
    Can be hired to protect you.
    - Fisherman (Fishing Rod):
    Goes to nearby strand-biomes to fish. (Can also catch squid for ink)

    You will also need a place to store the items they gather.
    To do this place some chests and place a sign close to it with
    [the job that has to store it's items there] on the first line.
    Opotional on the second to fourth line[the items they can store here]
    If no other chests for that job are nearby they will only mine that item

    Examples:
    [Miner] will cause the miner to store all their items in there
    [cobble ] causes the miners only placing cobble in this chest

    [Miner] will cause the miner to store all their items in there
    [ iron ] will cause the miners only placing iron and gold in this chest
    [ gold ]

    PS:
    had to place a space at the materials because otherwise it would place an image

    And if it's possible:
    When a villager has a job,
    they get the name of that job above their head. (Maybe in colour)

    EDIT:
    I did find the UsefulVillagers plugin,
    But it's not really working as i desire.
