   I've recently decided to switch from MySQL to MicrosoftSQL... so far I have got it working on a stand alone java application but when added into a plugin I get the "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver" error. any suggestions are appreciated

   Because the Bukkit server doesn't include that driver.
   
   Go back to MySQL, you have no need for SQLServer
