    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Well, that's strange. Does the block stay after you log out and in? Anyways, I fixed the -236 bug. It uses the same id as glass blockitem(20, shifted back 256, hence -236)

    It does not really require any java knowledge at all. Basically my program generates a spreadsheet of presorted methods as well as well as fields, and when you open this spreadsheet, you will see vanilla/MCP retroguarded names to the left and bukkit names to the right, and and in the middle you have 4 columns containing 2 types of "signatures" that you can identify the methods with. Often the signatures line up side by side, while at other times one of them is ahead of the other, in which case you select the block of misaligned bukkit names & signatures and move them to align with the MCP retroguarded signatures.

    Hey guys
    I have following problem , I have runned KSlopes and other Plugins like Nandolt´s Tree Mod on The 1.5 Bukkit Version.
    Now I have updated to 1.6 and all the trees and blocks from KSlopes are away. What can i do that these blocks dont disappear ?

    I added a removeitem call in the plugin itself. Although you could have done this using the script as well. Just get ICGlass 0.1.1

    Although I'd put some stainedglass blocks down, no I hadn't logged off & on to see if they stayed, but I'm presuming they will now with the plugin update ! Thanks again.

    I suppose it depends how you are running ItemCraft - Are you putting the ItemCraft.jar file in the same folder as your bukkit file and using a startup.bat file like this :

    If so, you shouldn't have lost anything. This ensures that Itemcraft starts with bukkit so that items / blocks are not lost on a restart.
    If you are running your bukkit another way, you'd have to post for us to have a look at please.

    I hope you backed up your world. IC should also warn you about this (and prompts you to abort starting CB) if any plugin fails to load or if the startup file is autocreated. unless you were trying to start with an old version of IC. Just get the newest version of the plugins and IC.

    Well that depends,
    My home server that is set up for the kids and family runs fine with the heap set at 1g but never has more than 10 people on at once. The server I play on with the buddies has a 2g heap. Memory leaks (at least to me and I am no expert) appear to have gotten better since the release of 1.6.6.

    A while back i asked if this can be run in conjuction with other console server Jar's. Im here to say yes, yes it can. Im currently running 1.5_01 still until my Terrain mod is fixed but on Server startup i use this console command to run PheonixTerrainMod and ItemCraft.
    java -Xmx7162M -Xms7162M -cp BiomeBukkit.jar:ItemCraft.jar:craftbukkit.jar org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    Everything starts and runs perfect! Thanks for this great plugin.

    P.S. Where do I go to edit the config files for Mo'Creatures? Im a bit confused on how to modify it for the server... Thanks again.

    Alright as the known issue said "horses are difficult to control" well for me on bukkit server only not ssp they are impossible to and and you cant put a saddle on them... plus water mobs dont spawn for some reason... and how do you config the mod?

    I have tried an get the error message >exception in "main" java.lang < then it says some more stuff.
    I placed itemccraft in the same file as craftbukkit and i deleted the meta-inf file.
    I got the error when i used command prompt to start it beacuse using the server starter crashes it.

    In fact it depend of the sens, make a road north south and a road east west and you will see, when the road has one of the two orientation it doesn't work.

    Moreover I have a question: I have a 1.5 version of itemcraft and i want to update but the probleme is that the id of a few block of fancy pack have change because of the item added in 1.6. Cages,chains and others have disapeared, is it possible to save these or i have to replace these again?

    It isn't fixed. We are having the same issue. Using only kslopes with bukkit 860 and itemcraft. The problem is not there all the time, but its like being "triggered". IF blocks turn weird, you can "reset" em by placing a torch or interacting with another block. But it happens on a regular basis that the slope blocks show the look that can be seen in the above post.

    I installed this on my server with the Kaevator slopes mod and it works great! The only problem is that the server performance takes a big hit with the slopes mod active. Is there any way to improve the performance? Currently the server is just being run off of my computer, not a dedicated box, and is really only for a few friends, not a large community.

    I'm sort of hoping that I just did something wrong, and it can be fixed! Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

    This mod is amazing, i have yet to try it myself cause i don't want a client side mod requirement for my server. but i wonder if its possible to allow this plugin on only ONE of the worlds, instead of all my worlds in my server. and if you can. what happens when someone brings an item that doesnt exist in the non modded worlds? does the client crash?
  23. Hmm, I only see issues with mo creatures and fancy pack, the kslopes work without any issues then ? :}

    Still, can't you do anything about the horses, they're the reason I want mo creatures xD

    Okay, so in this I got help, and it got fixed. thanks to icephantom for telling me I needed the 16-bit thing.. But now I have yet another problem.
    Versions stay the same, and every client works, also the server works perfectly, no errors show up anywhere.
    Yet when I try to craft a block from the ICKSlopes plugin of ItemCraft, it shows up the crafted item in the result box for only like half a second to then disappear.
    Am I doing something wrong? Or did I forget something again.
    I got on the server the CB 818, Itemcraft for CB 818, ICKSlopes for the 1.6.6, all working, when I run it no errors occur.
    On my client I got the modloader 1.6.6 for the slopes mod, also I got the slopes mod ofcourse, and the 16-bit thing that was told to me by icephantom.
    Please help D:

    Yeah i rarely exceed 3 online.. it just sucks at freeing up memory after quits, currently running at 1.2gb allocated, 0 players logged in. But thanks for the input, must be a plugin =)

    Change the
    -jar "%~dp0craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar"
    and put this instead
    -cp ItemCraft.jar;"%~dp0craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar" org.bukkit.craftbukkit.Main
    It should work.

    i have a problem with your Plugin "Itemcraft"
    I have add the plugin to my Server und the Mod's to my Client
    They haven't a error but when i try to craft with blocks then the slope appear for a very short moment then its disappear and i can't draw it to my Inventar...
