    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Thanks for the response I appreciate it, Ive been having a hard week and things were just getting hard to understand with this. I still haven't gotten it to work yet, Its because of the INF folder though. everything works fine till that is deleted. then the server won't start.

    I removed support for defining blocks using block <id> etc..
    There are still various ways to add new blocks but they are not very user friendly atm.

    Edit: It is uploaded. But I do not recommending upgrading unless you want to play around with the new script.

    As there is no old Startup anymore, could you give examples on the Basic Things?
    I think most people would be fine if they had examples of the following:

    <arg_0_int> <arg_1_int> <arg_2_int> <arg_3_Object[]> addCraftRecipe
    <arg_0_Item> <arg_1_int> <arg_2_int> <arg_3_Object[]> addCraftRecipe
    <arg_0_ItemStack> <arg_1_Object[]> addCraftRecipe

    I already have examples for Simple Items/Blocks and how to remove them on the Wiki.
    When i could add the above i think most peolpe would be fine. I think most are using it mainly for new Blocks/Items.

    There have been a couple of posts with the same error, so it occurs on 1-5-01 and 1-6-6, however, I've been unable to recreate it myself, so I'm unable to offer a suggestion.

    I can run the 1.5.02 server just fine (766) but when I download the newest build (818) for 1.6.6 it won't load at all. I am also using the latest ItemCraft build for both builds too.

    Just to clarify what the plugin dev @asdaarg has done by posting an update to ItemCraft to work with bukkit #818.
    So far, if you update to bukkit #818 and ItemCraft 1.3.3, all you'll have is a working version of Itemcraft, but with NO working mods. NONE of the current mods will work with ver. 1.3.3 of ItemCraft. We will have to wait a little longer until the mods have all been upgraded to work with Minecraft 1.6.6 and then ported across to work with this plugin. It will be worth the wait though !! and perhaps there will be more mods available in the near future - who knows !!

    When I try to connect to my server with IC 1.3.3 without any plugin and disabled from my client with only the 16-bit Patch I get an error: java.lang.SecurityException: SHA1 digest error for it.class How can I fix this?

    There are no compile time checks for java reflection so this sort of stuff will happen, at least until I get the mapping done.

    I think I know the reason now why the watermobs didn't work. This time I don't have Myers Carpenter's class maps so I'm mapping them myself and found the watermob names don't match. So if Mo's creatures updates, you might be able to see watermobs.

    How to use ICJode

    Put ICJode in ICPlugins
    Put jode-1.1.2-pre1.jar in lib under ICPlugins

    This should give you access to the command:
    <jarfilename> <classname> decompile


    How to use ICJanino

    Put ICJanino in ICPlugins
    Put Janino in lib under ICPlugins
    This should give you the commands:

    <javacode> java2cu
    <cu> cu2bytes
    <bytes> <name> bytes2class

    No, but I'm not sure which will be the default folder. You could try put what you compile in lib, ICPlugins or CB folder. You can also specify an absolute file path.

    Thanks for the updater, so you just removed the API for kslopes, so the plugin will still work I assume?

    Also is Mo working on 1.6? Or you waiting for it to update to 1.6?

    @asdaarg - wonder if you could assist. I've recently assisted a couple of users not able to get this plugin working. The problem is with the 16bit entity id zip file : pm.zip.
    You've put a readme file in here - the last line reads : /asdaarg
    Users are thinking that this is an instruction to create a folder in their minecraft.jar file called asdaarg and put the two files from pm.zip into the newly created directory. Obviously this is not the case, and they should be put in the root of their minecraft.jar.
    Could you change that line to read a little differently please ? - or add an instruction in the readme as to where to put these files - it would certainly help your userbase. Thankyou.

    Hey! I've been fallowing your mod for quite some time and I'm really excited for the mods to be updated to 1.6.6 so my server can use it :). I was just curious if it would be possible to edit the error message that happens when the client is not updated to the servers level. Some of the people on my server aren't the brightest with computers and so I would like to put a link in the error message to a page where I write out detailed instructions on how to install everything. Thanks again for all your hard work! (you've done much more than dang Dyncraft ever did lol, I fallowed him for like a month and he never got anything done :D)
