    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    yeah and it runs the game, just when i connect to the server it goes to "logging in" and that vanishes, but i notice on the server it logs, everyone who tries to connect, right back out in milliseconds then the game closes

    Great plugin! Set this up last night with all ICPlugins and works fine connecting from my three private computers. Went exploring with my partner - more creatures, more trees (some huge ones! :)) and furniture (fancypack) all worked fine - haven't tried any superslopes recipies yet. Might post the install process I used if I get time later.

    One small problem is that with the modded client I can't connect to my standard bukkit server (I can see myself join on the server console then it immediately quits & the client crashes) - I created a couple of shell scripts to remove and replace the .minecraft/bin folder as needed depending on which server I want to play on.

    I'm sure the creator has his hands more than full :)

    Hi ive only had minecraft for 2 days now and i'm trying to get mo' creatures to work on my server, I can get it to work on SP, but when I start my server this happens

    The only issue I am having atm is not being able to physically log into the multiplayer server. I have everything running, no errors or anything in the Cmd window, but it is telling us (me and friends) bad login, java error, or just a blank screen and closes minecraft. I'm sure it's and easy fix, just wanted to see if you possibly knew what it was.

    my girlfriend has the same minecraft.jar file but when she´s playing there are no such error messages..

    Well, the problem I have is it crashing (including myself) on me and my buddies when we try to log into the server, just random blank screen crash and or it telling us bad login / java error. So I am wondering what error I have in the coding, either the Run.bat file or something, because it says everything is enabled in the CMD window, so yea.

    Well, I have to put that itemcraft code into it for the ICMcreatures to run, but if I take it out it will give me a few errors in the CMD window saying that the ICMcreatures isnt working blah blah. But, with the -cp itemcraft.jar ect it doesnt give me that error.

    Ok with some stuffing around i got it to work, but now when i connect through the minecraft client i disconnect with this appearing in the cmd:

    if you run bukkit with your first batch file it won´t load itemcraft.

    That is the coding it said to use, I have a different craftubukkit name since i did rename it, but everything works properly, including the cmd saying that it has ICMcreatures and itemcraft is workin. And it didn't effect my MMO addon. So if you have something that would fix that line, let me know. I know it has to be an easy fix lol. Just annoying.

    What mmo addon?

    Also users are having trouble connecting :( "They freeze" even when evedrything installed 100% perfect.

    Sent my file, worked now.

    However, not all the creatures wsork, ie horse :(

    There is a mmo addon, it lets you level all your crafting / harvesting stuff, but that works fine, but when I put the other plugin, the Itemcraft and ICMcreatures, suddenly I can't loggin to my server? and no one else can. So it has to be something I had done wrong with the Run.bat file that would allow us to get in. Considering we were able to without that addon, I invited you a converstaion invite, if you don't want to keep posting here. But ANYONE who can help, please do

    I am having the same problem. I have all the coding (atleast I think I do) with the Run.bat perfect, I did exactly what it said to do up top in the instructions. Yet I can't log into the server, neither can any of my friends. But i get rid of itemcraft, and all of a sudden, all my plugins work? So it has to be something we are doing wrong with the Itemcraft .bat file. And in addition, I've sat on this threat for a few hours now, people havn't said anything to fix the code, neither has Asdaarg. I just want someone to straight forward give me something that might be causing us to not log in.


    Can you reply by chance, considering you are online? I know that you have had someone with this error before, just wish someone would remotely help with this quick fix...

    I can reply yes, but doesn't mean I have an answer to everything. I don't have enough information.

    I'm currently trying to incorporate janino compiler support, so that it will be possible to write code directly into the startup file of how your blocks/items/entities should behave.

    Found a strange bug with Slopes.
    When you brake a Block or Item with a Slope in your Hand, the Slope turns into a Ceiling Stair and the Client crashes with end of stream error.
    When i craft Ceiling Stairs everything is fine. Client only crashes when you break a Block with a Slope.
    I reproduced this a few Times.

    Hmmm it gets even Stranger. I only crash when i open the Inventory once the Slopes changed.
    When i have them in my Quickbar i can place them. After that i can brake them with a tool. The Ceiling Stair does not stack with the ones you already have in your Inventory. When you placed all Stairs that were changed by the Error and brake them again you dont crash anymore when you Open your Inventory. That one of the weirdest bugs i ever had in Minecraft. :)

    Are you using craftbukkit677?
    This Plugin only works with the Version in the Thread Titel.
    So dont use the latest recommended but 766 instead.
    My .bat looks like this and i have no problems running it with craftbukkit 766.

    If you don't think you have enough information you are wrong, asgaard... I have given you a ton with the last 10+ posts I made prior the the one you just put up. The problem is no one being able to log into my server. the CMD window just says "so and so FAILED TO LOGIN : Bad login" and thats it, and on our screen it either kicks us out, freezes and shuts down, or actually tells us "Bad login" so it is something I am doing wrong in the .bat file, considering before I had this plugin, my MMO addon worked perfectly and we were able to log in. So again, if anything, PLEASE just repost a quick informational post, with the EXACT steps to get this running. All i want to get working is the Mo's Creatures "entities" or whatever in your plugins.
    I have loaded Itemcraft into the main folder, redid the .bat code to what you put up top in the instructions, and I had put the ICMcreatures into the ICMplugin folder. The 16 bit part i put into the Bukkit.jar also, and I took out the META-INF.... is there something I am missing?
