    BorderGuard 4.40

BorderGuard is the MOST efficient Border plugin available!
100,000+ downloads! Thank you for your support!

This plugin prevents people from exploring beyond a defined border. This plugin checks for all movement, including vehicle movement, and will keep you within the border even if you remain within a vehicle.

(If you appreciate this plugin, please feel free to leave a comment below. =])

    To set an invisible border:
/setborder <distance> <square|round> - Set the border, and the distance of the border from your current point. Optionally, also specify if the border is to be square or round.

    To disable the border:
    /disableborder - Remove the border.

Only the person who first uses the /setborder command can use it again, or remove the border.

The plugin has multi-world support. When setting a border, you're only setting the border for the world you're presently situated in. You'll need to set a border for each separate world.

    Version History:
V4.40 - Fixed vehicle teleportation & added Material data support.
V4.31 - Added a quick fix so that it'll work with the CraftBukkit development build.
V4.30 - Updated to work with the new Bukkit API (#1846) R5+
    Older Versions (open)

V4.20 - Fixed it so the save-file no longer becomes corrupted with multiple worlds. Code cleanup.
V4.11 - Changed getDisplayName() checks to getName().
V4.10 - Major performance enhancements. Using version 4 is highly discouraged.
V4.00 - Modified to work with the latest craftbukkit version (953). Older versions no longer work.
V3.10 - Removed the multi-threading, was causing accuracy issues.
V3.00 - BorderGuard Turbo! Now works with bukkit 670, and has completely overhauled the base BorderGuard "engine", resulting in a huge performance boost.
V2.40 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. (602)
V2.30 - Resolved multi-world issues. Now properly handles multiple worlds.
V2.20 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. Existing configuration files will no longer work. (Borders must be re-defined).
V2.10 - Updated to work with the latest version of bukkit. Fixed movement issues with the "round" version.
V2.00 - Multi-world support, better teleporting, no duplicate warning messages, configuration file now within folder.
    V1.00 - Released plugin.

    1. Using, for example, "/setborder 5", will set the border 5 blocks away from the location you are standing. This would create a border that is 10x10 in size.
    2. For the full plugin, with physical borders and more, take a look here: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/mech-borderguard-v2-00-limit-your-map.656/

@Intelli forgot to report a bug with 4.10 not sure 4.11 I had my build world and pvp set for ages. I set my nether world and caused to wipe half my build and pvp settings and put just 1 line with the nether and the words just build and pvp on the same line if I recalled. Really messy.,

I'm trying to extend this with my plugin, but it's not very clear how to go about that. Even using JD-GUI on it doesn't help too much. Can you explain how to get the borders (and it's roundedness)?

EDIT: I do know how to extends plugins, I'm just not sure how to get the information from this plugin in particular.

    I have a super suggestion!
Is there some way you could add a bypass for ops, or a perm node (groupmanager)?
I'd like to test some stuff on my server, without interfering with the buildable area inside the border (and other people's structures)... but i can't bypass it without increasing the border size... And that defeats my purpose for bypassing it altogether. :p

doesnt save border's correctly after a while, the file starts to get whacky
switched to worldborder and all is well!

here's what my save file looks like after setting all the borders with the commands and then doing nothing else (not even restarting)

    borderdata=joeyismusic,95.5,75.5,61.5,3000,EternalWorld,square,, worldskytest

here's my plugin list when it happened:

Plugins: AutoRegionGuard, BorderGuard, ControllerBlock, DeathOnVoid, Essentials, EssentialsChat, EssentialsGeoIP, EssentialsProtect, EssentialsSpawn, MagicCarpet, BukkitCompat, MultiVerse, Permissions, PermissionsSql, SuperJump, VanishNoPickup, VoxelSniper, War, WorldEdit, ItemDetector

You can use WorldGuard with the flags: allowed-cmds, exit, exit-group respectively to accomplish what you want. Set that group's spawn point within your defined region.

i havent tried this yet but it seems perfect for my server (i was trying to think of ways to limit new people) but is there an option to change the alert that tells someone they've reached the border? so for example 'you've reached the border rank up to explore more' or whatever people like to have

    i did it this way:
a guest world :) they can go to the main world by appyling

Does anyone already have a copy of this?

I would also like a copy of this

can you make it so that the commands are permissioned based since if you screw up and forget to put a border someone else can /setborder and you wouldnt be able to /removeborder
  24. Offline

I think it would be unnecessary considering you only have to do it once. I guess the solution is, don't forget.

@Darkone003, If you don't mind, I would appreciate you removing the attached file. I don't really appreciate the file being redistributed outside of the main download link (which enables me to track statistics).

In regards to why the download link was down, there was a DDoS attack on my hosting account, resulting in my account being suspended. I've been busy relocating all my data to a new host.

Download link still broke :( Well, i can download the file, but it's corrupt which maks it unusable..
And i really need this to get moving with my server..

    Ah, indeed.

    Definitely should be fixed now.
