As the title states. Im sure plenty of people would love to have something simple like this. If could just Blacklist items, so that they cannot be crafted or used. It seems like it could be something simple in the right hands, but just not in mine. Lets give some input on this and see if we can a dev to help us out with this!
It should be permissions-based, so in groups you could have different items banned for different groups. For example, we have a mage class who we don't want to be allowed armour or weapons, so we could have nodes saying things like - 'itemblacklist.276' to block them having a diamond sword in that group, but the warrior group will still have access to it. If a mage picks it up, if possible it wouldn't be deleted on collect, but deleted on use (that way a mage can take the drops if it kills a warrior, and can then sell them on for profit, but if they try and use it, its disallowed) in fact building on that, I know the LevelCraft plugin has the right stuff for that kind of thing. If you aren't a high enough level to use a diamond sword for example, you can swing it at a mob but it won't "hit" it, it will just swing like it does in the air normally.
