Due to a lack of time, this plugin will go inactive for about a two months. I hope to be able to maintain ist again in June, sorry guys! Backfire is a plugin which is based on the skill "Backfire" and "Empathy" in the MMORPG "GuildWars". In GW it can be used by the mesmer-class to reflect damage to attacking enemies and I thought it would be a nice feature to put that into a little plugin. Visit Backfire at BukkitDev Features Gives players with the righ permission the possibility to enable the backfire-mode. Every time they get hit by a monster the damage they get is inflicted to the monster as well. Damage can be modified using a factor which can be set in the config. Damage the player gets can be modified by a factor as well. Different types of backfire-damage (normal damage, burning the monster, both combined) Commands (and Permissions): /backfire on - Enables the plugin on the server. (permission: backfire.*) /backfire off - Disables the plugin on the server. (permission: backfire.*) /backfire enable - Enables the backfire-function for the player who uses the command. (permission: backfire.use) /backfire disable - Disables the backfire-function for the player who uses the command. (permission: backfire.use) /backfire help - Shows the sender a list of the available commands. Config Changelog Version 1.0 Initial Release ToDo-List Implement some PvP-functions. Limit the skill by time Requests If there is anything you would like me to add, simply ask for it. Known Bugs I hope the are no bugs. If you find one, please report it here using the ticket-tracker!
Yes, the deaxtivation for single users by command "/backfire disable" does not work. I had planned to release v1.1 today which has many additional functions (damage depending on the armor the player is wearing, backfire bound to a special type of armor and man more features. I didn't finish my tests today, so the release has to wait until tomorrow...
Is it possible to treat this like an ability in the future? Like, make it an ability that lasts only so long. I see more use if this is the case.
I have quite some additional features on my list, but I ran out of time before I could release a new version. The idea about the time is great, will put it onto my ToDo-list.
MeneXia: Isn't the one on BukkitDev enough? Of course I can add one, but at the moment it isn't that important to see the "changes" of the initial release.
Will try to do that during the weekend, I will update it in combination with a new feature, but I'm just too busy to do that before the WE... -.-
I simply cannot update all my plugins, so I had to choose and did that: md_5: Please move it to the correct place. Due to a lack of time, this plugin will go inactive for about a two months. I hope to be able to maintain ist again in June, sorry guys!
