I can't spawn items on my server

    Hello I'm running 1.8.1 bukkit and i can't spawn in water,portal,lava, or fire block, it just says that's not a spawnable item can anyone tell me why this is and please help me fix it because it's very annoying.

    I tried finding a way to fix this aswell.
    I wanted to spawn in Double_Slabs but it won't allow me.
    I googled a bit and found that since 1.8 we won't be able to hold these items (lava,water,fire,doubleslabs) in our hand.
    If you do get it in your inventory the game crashes or something.

    So there is no way to fix this as I know of.
