How to create a minecraft multi-version server

Hi! Guys

At this moment i'm trying to develop/create a minecraft server, and i have a big problem

i know several servers that support users with multiple versions of minecraft from 1.7.2 to 1.7.9

I tried to find how to do this, but can not find anything

i hope the bukkit community can help me

Thread locked; this is not possible with a standard CraftBukkit server. The servers that are doing this are using a nasty protocol hack which is not recommended nor supported on these forums.

It is much safer for your server if you only choose one version of Minecraft to support. In addition, it really is not difficult for players to change their Minecraft version with the official launcher anyway; it takes about 5 seconds to do.
