How do I color names?

    Hey, I am currently rewriting some existing plugins for my server's 'special' needs.
    Please don't ask why.

    However, as of right now, I am stuck with a little problem.
    This is just a feature that I'd like to implement, it's not essential...

    I would like to color the players' names.
    Not in chat, I have already done that, I mean the names over their heads.

    Does anybody know how to accomplish this or is it absolutely impossible?

    You have to use client mods for this. Spout allows it.
