Do you have more than one world?
yes i have many.
if i do my math correctly, thats 13 worlds
but only 3 are ever in use at any one time. All those worlds are accessable (by ops), but everyone only uses (and only has access to) Town, Freebuild or Runescape
I am going to test build 1045... Just saw this weird fix
Looks like that would make the server run a tick for each world every time it was suppose to run once...
i tried that build, all on its own. no plugins and i still recieved very high cpu. it was in a different folder too so it created its world and that was it. no plugins, nothing.
Ya... Doesn't seem to help for me either.
;( DAMN! why does teh servrz hax have to be so difficult :S
Ugh... Not what I wanted to see... 0-3% CPU on windows 7....
so its definatly the linux doing it?
Yes... But It may just be CentOS (If you have that too)
We need a developer in here to test thing...
do you have Skype?
(not to do a call, just to talk via the instant messaging part)
I was thinking. i have 2 VPS's with my VPS Provider, (when i started fresh, my provider kept my old vps)
So, if i re-install an OS on it. (like ubuntu or something) then install java, and copy over my files. and try it, it might use less cpu on ubuntu rather than centos? what do you think? we could try it out

Skype is updating... Just a sec
Okie doke when its done, add me dan.spiteri97
I'm still having problems and I am on windows 7, heres my worldguard report if it helps... http://pastebin.com/8JDSFwxH
ANYONE WITH THIS ISSUE READ THIS:
If you are using CentOS and it recently happened. Change your OS! Me and Zachar543 just tested. we installed ubuntu on my old vps and installed openJDK and then minecraft and CPU is down to 0.2 not 6-8
You seem to have 1462 items in your main world. This may be the cause of some lag. If you have WorldEdit you can do this command "/remove items 99999"
You also seem to only have 79MB of RAM left for your server. This could cause a lot of lag if it runs out or gets close.
How can i get more RAM for my server? My computer has 4GB total, is there anyway to put some of that for my server?
You need to use a .bat file to run the server.
Make a file and name it run.bat
put this in the file:
java -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
java -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
I tried with the "CraftBukkit Starter JRE7.bat".
Also I can't get the /remove command to work, any ideas?
For the /remove command, You need the plugin WorldEdit
Now the entity count is up to 4221, wtf is going on. I typed /remove items 99999 and it said it marked 949 entities for removal.
I see a lot of talk like: Your VPS sucks, are got more RAM w/e.
Our server has a 2.8Ghz Core i5 and 16 GB RAM on a Ubuntu Linux 11.04 server.
The worlds are running from Ramdisk.
Plugins: Netstats, Password, MultiVerse, AppleTree, MobBounty, Fight, MineMail, Minequery, MultiHome, BananaChunk, TeleportRequest, AutoMessage, MultiInv, xWarp, BorderGuard, WorldGuard, AssignPermissions, HelloWorld, MCSL, LogBlockQuestioner, TNTWarner, MagicCarpet, Lockette, PlayerInfo, PerformanceTweaks, BackToBody, AnyoneSleep, CommandBook, AntiHack, InstaBreak, OpenInv, Tables, BedHeal, iConomy, Silence, ChestShop, Elevators, HelpCommands, HeroicDeath, AntiSpawnKill, Permissions, Votifier, ChunkRegenerate, Spout, iChat, iCoLand, LocalShops, LogBlock, Jobs
Since CB1000, our CPU is burning like hell, with 5 players online, the JVM uses about 80-100% van de CPU, which is INSANE if you ask me.
There must be something else than just "sucky" hardware.
Potentional thing could be the very old issue relating cpu stuff... adding -Djline.terminal=jline.UnsupportedTerminal in the start up script... HOWEVER! This can spam the console heavily so make sure to run it as a terminal etc.
I am running it from my ssh tunnel inside the bash terminal adding -Djline.terminal doesn't help
My server is using 1.6Ghz of CPU (65% of 2.5Ghz) on 4 people alone. Plus, my main world is on a ramdisk (No performance increase at all)
