Hide CreatureSpawner flames upon spawning?

    Hello all,

    During my time exploring various RPG servers, I noticed a lot seem to simply hide a spawner under perhaps a piece of carpet, which whilst still allowing the Spawner to work, it sort of takes away from the immersion, when you can pinpoint where they're spawning from.

    I messed around with sendBlockChange a short while ago, however despite the block changing its appearing, the flames persist when a creature spawns.

    I was hoping that someone here may of dabbled in this in the past, or may even be working on it now, who might be able to push me in the right direction.
