There are servers that allow griefing to make it harder to survive and to create a griefer vs builder war. The problem is that people steal/grief from others while they are offline, so it really becomes a griefer vs boredom war. I have an idea to fix this. Allow players' property to be protected, but allow griefing if that player is online. It would be like a protection plugin, but it would only protect your stuff while you are offline. Your doors would still be openable by anyone but not your chests and furnaces. To define the boundaries of your property, you could either call an admin to select the area or select it yourself (but the plugin would limit how many blocks and how frequently non-admins could select). That way, if someone is going to grief your property, it would at least be when you are there to try to defend it. These servers would be better for everyone with this plugin because builders build more, and griefers are challenged when attacking a house, making it more fun. Bump.
