I've finally fully abandoned hMod 134 a few days ago. I made a few basic plugins for it. How much different is developing for Bukkit, than for hMod? Also, should I wait until the next release of Bukkit to get started since Beta 1.3 has been released?

Bukkit is TREMENDOUSLY better organized and easier to use IMO. It should be okay to start using it right away I would think, looking at their source code there are several instances of backward compatibility and looking at the forums they seem to announce changes that are going to break method signatures.

You could just start making some really basic programs. The transition from hMod to Bukkit really isn't that intensive. Just look at an example or template plugin and it all makes sense pretty fast and you can go off making your own stuff :)

I just started making plugins for bukkit yesterday lol
