Full on server help?

So, right now it's just IP forwarding, so I won't give that particular info, but things aren't working properly, and I'm a noob at this so I need to get some help, if I may. Pex doesn't wanna show prefixes like it should, despite having the permissions file correctly setup, afaik, it still won't give the appropriate EssentialsX permissions to the ranks described, so everyone Mod and below is missing stuff like /sethome and /balance even though the perms file says they have it, and I can't seem to get stuff generally working in a decent manner. I've done all I can to get this far, but I'm at a loss. Can someone help me?

Update: Users can't even seem to use the chat, just plain chat. Idk why.



Edit: It's been days, still no replies, so I guess no one can help... I hope I'm wrong, and someone replies soon, but if I'm not wrong, I guess I'll keep messing with stuff to try to figure it out.
