Fuel burn time

    Is it currently possible to program a plugin that alters furnace fuel burn time/material.

    For example making a lump of coal burn for 10s, or making a piece if flint into a fuel that burns for 1s?

    If it is then any pointers in the correct direction would be most appreaciated, as i'm new to plugin developing...
