Failed to connect to server Operation timed out

I have my own minecraft server and when anyone tries to log in they get the error Failed to connect to server operation timed out. Before they get this message they are stuck on the connecting to server screen for a long time. The server used to work no problem before and I am sure that I opened the right ports. I am able to connect to the server using localhost but people outside can't. I checked that my ip was still the same and it is. When people try to connect their name doesn't come up on the server.

Your ISP might be blocking something, that's all I can think of.

 

I have the same issue, also with myself. The only way I can log in is through localhost, and when I do I cannot break blocks anywhere. Is this issue resolved?
