Essentials starter kit

Is there a way to create a one-time starter kit using essentials? If not what plugin should I use?

 

Yes there is, in the Config, (for essentials), there is a section for kits.
Just make the time like 32432789473298748932463257736523
so they can never use it again.

 

Ok....but I want the kit to be given when they log in for the first time. They don't have to type /kit xxx

 

Not sure about that. I make a newbie kit with TreasureChest, as everyone loves to click chests to see what is inside. You can make said chests one-time loot, multiple times or infinite times. It is a very nice plugin and just got updated.

then at the verry bottom you should see

Essentials Spawn / New Players


scroll down till you see

Make a kit, then write the kit name into the "newbies" section
