Solved Essentials player data

Hello i was trying to reset my server so that everyone could have a fresh start as i have done for a few years now. but for some reason this time i cant seem to delete my essentials player data due to the fact that every time i do and then turn my server back on it just keeps regenerating please help thanks!

I just removed essentials all together then restarted the server and ITS STILL THERE WTF lol

Stop the server, remove the player data then start the server again. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure. Good Luck, Jack

 

I'm not retarded... I have done this multiple times with no luck. But thanks for your reply.

 

@CausticCraft Well you never know who you will meet on Bukkit forums. I can't think of anything else. I'm guessing you have tried reloading, not removing the folder but removing all the files inside. So even if you remove essentials completely and not get it back essentials just re-appears? (If you try this remember to save your config! If its custom)

As long as your server is off and you remove the files, they should not regen. The only thing I can think of is that you're not letting the server completely shut down before deleting them, however from what you've said I assume you have waited for it.

Try stopping your server, removing all of your Essentials jar files, start the server then see if they come back. If they do, then I don't know, if they don't, then remove the player files and restart, then finally if the playerfiles haven't come back, toss your Essentials jar files back on and it should be fine.

 

How about removing all the player data files from the world folder(s), too...

 

I shut down the server waited 5 min then removed ALL essentials files and jars. then i started the server and there was no essentials on my server then shut it down then added only essentials jars then somehow the fucking user data was there lol im about to give up i tried everything i dont know where its storing it all

 

Well we're getting somewhere since the data isn't coming back without Essentials. Is your server running on 1.8 or higher?

 

The server is on 1.8.9 maybe a plugin is calling for the player data and when its not there it puts in a backup that it has stored? that is all i can think of

 

Err since when is 1.8.9 out? I think the latest version is 1.8.8. Try downloading Essentials here and see if it works.

oh i did a typo my bad lol it is spigot_1.8.8_fdc1440-53fac9f.jar

I also tried that version of essentials u linked with no luck i also tried changing jars a few times lol wtf is wrong

Make sure you have either Java 7 or 8 installed. That Essentials works flawlessly on my 1.8.8 server

i dont think its a java or version issue i think its a plugin on my server that is pulling info from this file and when i remove it it just regens it

Okay first off, please don't triple post xP Just use the edit button at the bottom of your post (unless that post is older than 24h, you can then double post). Since you're on Beastnode, I'm going to assume that they have at least Java 7 because it'd be crazy if they didn't

So what I'd like you to do is check out this plugin troubleshooting video. For you, follow the instruction, but instead of testing for the error in game like the video does, then you'd want to remove player files and then restart. Then check then test more. Also if you could list your plugins then I may be able to help directly. My plugin troubleshooting has seemed to help the people I've linked it to here.

 

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UR HELP!!!! I got it now tho i have a plugin called LeaderHeads and everyone that was in that file stayed in the essentials userdata but the files was blank i knew it was another plugin thanks man!!!!!
