    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    Since MultiInv isn't actually updated I'd recommend WorldInventories. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/world-inventories/

    This is actually answered in the FAQ wiki at the bottom of the page. You will probably need to give the - (negate node) of that bypass permission to the group with either * or multiverse.*

    Ok I have a problem changing the difficulty of the world. It is set to easy and I want to set it to normal. When I try /mvm set diff normal I get following message: Difficulty must be set as one of the following: peaceful easy normal hard

    Bug? Or am I too stupid?

    Edit: This is the error: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.onarandombox.MultiverseCore.MVWorld.setDifficulty()

    Can someone please help me with importing a SP world that already has a nether in it. fernferret said to import both single player worlds and to use Multiverse-NetherPortals to link them. I have Multivers-NetherPortals and understand how to link worlds with them.

    The thing I am having trouble with is how do I import the Normal world and Nether worls separately if they are in 1 world folder. For example I have a SP world folder (called "world") that has a nether in it, if I want to import both the Normal world and the Nether world into my SMP server how do I do this.

    I have tried /mv import world normal which works fine and adds the normal world but, if I do /mv import world_nether nether (which a few people have suggested) it tells me that there is no folder called world_nether.

    I comment here because i cant comment on bukkit dev (Dunno why... -.-)
    My problem is that i just created a new world, and it says im not allowed to build in it. I am OP, and i have access to all mv commands. Is there a command to do so that everybody can build on the world? In advance thanks :)

    4. /mvp create Portal2

    6. /mvp modify dest Portal2

    Multiverse tells me he can't find the destination portal... this is my current "portals.yml'

    My permissions are bad configured? only op's can across portals... i am admin with node '*' and i can't across without OP, is there anyway to players just with nodes across portals? i use PermissionsBukkit.
     
  10. A week ago I changed from CommandBook to AdminCMD.
    So far I am very happy with the new plugin, but there is one very impossible thing and I thout it is because of multivere, but I don't know it!

    With commandbook it was possible, that when a group hast the "commandbook.teleport"; permission he could teleport to other players using /tp PLAYER. And when the person has a "-commandbook.teleport"; in a special world, for example the world nether, the player couldn't teleport to a player who was in the nether.

    So my question: Is it possible to prevent a player/group from teleporting to users in a special world?
    Example: there are three worlds: world, nether, heaven
    in world and heaven the player "gamer" has the ability to teleport to other players.
    So when the player "gamer" is in one of these two worlds and a secound player named "hardcoreGamer" is also in one of these worlds, "gamer" cvan teleport himself to "hardcoreGamer".

    But when "hardcoreGamer" is in "nether", "gamer" can NOT teleport to him.
    He can't teleport to him, whatever world he is in!!!

    in 1.8.1 it was possible with commandbook and multiverse, now i have multiverse and admincmd.
    The Permissionssystem is the same. And the developer from adminCMD (i already asked them) said, that I should ask here for help!

    an other question:
    how can I prevent a group from entering special Worlds?
    I have a number of x worlds, x is variable, it is possible that worlds are created or delated.
    But only 3 are fix, and in these 3 a usergroup is not permitted to enter.

    How can I make this with permissions?
    Because the permission "multiverse.acces.WORLDNAME" does not act!

    i used skylands plus to make my skylands world. as for importing, the old skylands WGEN is gone. you will need a plugin to handle the skylands generation. in essense, you could import your already made skylands world with skylands plus, but your chunk generation will be off. i already tried this with my old skylands and watched as my generation was completely off.
    So.
    1. download skylands plus.
    2. import your world with a skylands plus generator.
    3. enjoy.

    Not sure if somebody already answered that, but it's definitely because of AdminCmd. Multiverse doesn't manage anything about permission nodes.

    For what does exist mv import?
    I've renamed my old bukkit world and started it without import in multiverse (world-settings created)
    So i have 1043 chunks loaded, but no players are on the old map. Very strange.

    If you've created a desitnation portal called "portal_dest" you do following command:
    Code:
    /mvpc portal1 d:portal_dest
    you can also use the "e:" parametre to give an exact position with coords:
    Code:
    /mvpc portal1 e:world:x,y,z
    So f.e. you want this portal to go to the world with name "world1", and goto x 50, y64, z-500 you do following command
    Code:
    /mvpc portal1 e:world1:50,64,-500

    Bukkit auto loads the map with the name in server.properties, f.e. if this is "serverworld" bukkit will search for the folder "serverworld", if it doesn't exists, it will auto generate a new world. If you have nether and/or the end enabled, bukkit will also search for following folders "serverworld_nether" & "serverworld_the_end" if they don't exists, it will generate a new one, MV is used for more worlds, portals and netherportals,

    Let's say you have a survival world, nether and the end. You also have a map on your singleplayer wich you wanna play online with your friends, that's when MV comes in. you place this map folder in your server dir, and use ingame the command
    Code:
    /mvimport <name> <enviroment>
    <name> = the name of you map folder
    <enviroment> = nether/skylands/normal

    Let's use another example, say you want to have 4 worlds, survival, nehter, end AND creative world. You can use a world of your SP wich already exist, using /mvimport; or create a new world using this command:

    /mvcreate <name> <enviroment>
    When you've created that world, goto your MV folder > worlds.yml > <name of creative world> and change game type to creative (maybe there is a command to change game type ingame, I don't know)

    So hope this helped =)

    Instead of /mvimport i have done all manually. To i renamed the old world into world_2, copied the world setting from worlds.yml and renamed it into world_2. Will it work without problems?

    ehm btw one more question.
    In the default worlds.yml config there will be created a servername and a servername_nether config. The_end i'm not using.

    Are the both worlds now loaded via multiverse or via bukkit? How are the handled?

    If they are in you world.yml config, you can access them using /mvtp, so I suppose they are handled by MV. And I suggest you use the ingame command for inmporting worlds, they are a lot easier =)

    Sorry if this has been repeated before, but multiverse is taking over essentials-spawn, so even with essentials spawns set, multiverse will respawn you at the world spawn. is there someway i can get essentials to override multiverse? thanks
