Digitally Signing Web Applets

Hello!

This may seem a little off topic, but it all comes together. I'm writing a front-end plugin for Bukkit that runs as a web applet, but I need to digitally sign the applet. Eclipse runs the applet fine locally when I test it on my machine, but this is because Eclipse has full permissions. When I try to run the web applet (which makes use of TCP/IP connections) on the actual web, it freezes up. I check the chrome output, and I see that the connection is blocked.

It's similar to Minecraft, where instead of freezing up, you get a message asking you if you want to run potentially unsecured content.
