Craftbukkit 1.3.2 Mod Support

    just asking if its the right place too post it but when is it going too have Mod support like Forge and stuff just asking please no flaming if i ask.

    Actually, its best to ask the mod makers if they will support us. We do nothing to prevent mod makers from modifying CraftBukkit to their liking.

    To my knowlege, there isn't any mods ported to bukkit for 1.3.2, including forge.

    As I understood a port between forge and Bukkit is necessary,
    To build this port effective a cooperation between bukkit and forge is needed.
    Forge guys asked to work together, but they say bukkit team not interested in.
    Sounds like a stalemate, Sad for us user, we love both, bukkit AND forge.

    How it is possibel to cut that Gordian knot?

    The Bukkit team does Bukkit. They focus on as near to vanilla experience as possible. If people want to do stuff like forge, that's fine but they can't expect Bukkit to help them do it, because the team is already working absolutely as hard as possible at the task already at hand. Please don't act like this is an injustice.

    Further to what h31ix said, we do not stop people from modding CraftBukkit, which is what Forge does. I do not understand what lack of co-operation there would be from our side.

    We all know, that both teams work very hard for us - without any payment - its realy great! We bow us!
    "injustice" isnt the point, no one say this. As I sayed, we love both. Isnt there a way to come out of actual death end?

    What?

    What the Forge developers do is entirely their choice; we're not holding them back from doing anything, and if they haven't updated or done X or Y it's not anything the Bukkit team can help with or support or anything else..

    They can always suggest ways, but they have taken it upon themselves to modify CraftBukkit. If there was a way to make it easy for them to port, without making it hard for the team to maintain CraftBukkit without breaking vanilla behavior, we'd be open to suggestions. Likely what they want is to tie into NMS consistently between updates of Minecraft, which would seriously hinder CraftBukkit's ability to update.

    Its kind of like us asking for Mojang to not put in updates, change protocol or anything like that because it makes our job harder. Its unrealistic.
