command blocks help - detecting air

    is there a way to detect air with a command block and if there is no block there(air) it will place one ?
    as i have a bug with these super pistons from craftbook plugin were the blocks disappear every so often

    Seeing as you're already using craftbook, the craftbook block sensor and block placer IC's can do that.

    And the bug with better pistons is due to a bug with bukkit where a piston event is fired twice.
