Works on other servers, but for me.......http://prntscr.com/if5e5
This is so embarrassing....
That's not the formatting that you need to use, replace the & with §. Also, it only supports colors.
Oh. Derp de herp.
I tried it but in place of the "§" it comes up as a "?"
You'll need some sort of plugin to do it.
It works in the latest 1.4 dev build: http://prntscr.com/if9bu (No plugins)
I see a couple servers with the text formatting whatever you call it
Just saw this project by JayzaSapphire, try it out.
Not needed. Just do this (where the bold characters are the color codes)
Then it shows the question mark before it.
Not on my server.
Mine is shexy :>
I had the same issue as did Gunnerrrrr. Anything I tried regarding the section sign showed up as a gray question mark. (as depicted in the picture )
Refresh that picture, I had it on my test server and just moved it live, using that exact line I pasted above.
Check out the new MOTD Color post at http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/motd-color.107910/
Yeah, but look at the amount of work typing up that thing.
Thats my plugin
This is using the code I showed you above:
Would this be ok for sites that query the MOTD.
I might just have to steal that from you.
Like ewized said, wouldn't the text for the color show up on server listings?
Yes it does :<
My server list is very fruity now
What about when you use the ColourMotd plugin? Still shows up?
That's what I am using, so without it I'm not sure.
Thank for the help! No plugins needed for me and that's gr8!
How do you make it so the letters can be big like "&l"?
With the plugin you could just use the codes, much easier
Mind explaining how it's done?
According to my script, my motd is exactly the same as yours and yet no brackets appear around the player count.
Separate names with a comma.
