   I was told by a few people that bukkit runnables are bad, Is this true. if so what type of loop should I use and what is the best way to delay code.

   There's nothing wrong with them, assuming you don't use the word "async" when it shouldn't be used.
   
   Sounds like these "few people" are a little dim-witted.
