I agree with the approval needed, the annoying part is it being manual (I think)
Sometimes takes hours and hours for it to be approved if no moderators are active.
Is the purpose of the approval to just ensure that posts are legitimate and not posting stupid stuff?
Or is it so moderators can check the code you send to ensure it's not malicious?
Called sleeping, sorry about that, that time of day is tricky when you are all by yourself.
It is to filter out new users. And malicious ones when they get enough warnings.
Spambots are always in the queue, that is why you guys don't see them.
New users are in there because we need to be sure if they are spam bots first.
Sometime I check the code, but that is mostly after I approved the post.

This was not a "dig" at you for sleeping or doing other things (Thought that was pretty obvious, but okay)
- It seems when you are active, the approval is completed pretty quickly. Congratulations to you.
- Maybe get another moderator from a different timezone to do similar things.

I know, no offense was taken ;)
The thing is that the only time that he / she has something to do is when I am not here, which is only when I am sleeping or on holiday (which isn't a lot either)
Those 10 posts that I have each morning aren't enough to actively search for somebody.
It was way busier before the DMCA, but then a couple things happened and it got quiet around here.
If it was still that busy then I indeed wouldn't be the only active moderator, then there would be somebody from a different timezone.
