Plugin Category: Adminastration Suggested Name: OP Disable Purpose: This plugin should give the server owner, the console, and any Opped players the ability to enable disable the ops.txt file. It could be configured so either people who are listed in the ops.txt file can still be opped, while no one else can be opted, or to have it so everyone loses their op status, and no one can be opted until the owner re-enables the ops.txt. This would be a very useful thing if some of your admins are abusing their powers (for instance; giving their friends the op/admin status without permission from the owner), or if someone comes on the server who has Auto-Op (which is a mod that theoretically automatically ops the user on any server they go onto). Idea's for Commands: /disable /enable /keepop <on/off> /showop I have no idea who would be able to develop this plugin, but I hope someone does soon.
If you find a player who is abusing Admin powers, don't remove the Op ability, ban the player. Cure the problem, not the symptom. Auto-Op is a hoax.
Seems like you would be able to create the plugin for disabling the /op and /deop commands, however ANY op would be able to use /enableop or whatever your planning here. I have to agree with Greylocke
I'm pretty sure this can be done. Example: Someone runs /disableops. Store ops in an array. Deop ops. Someone runs /enableops. Op people in the array. Am I missing anything?
Okay, heres first version, appears to be working perfectly on my server. <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url> /disableops - Removes op from all Ops. /enableops - Returns op to all original Ops. Also, the list of ops is erased on /reload, I'll make the plugin save the list Will finish this tomorrow, its too late to finish now EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
