Logout Delay

I am helping manage a SMP that encourage clan based PvP and have been having trouble with people simply login out during combat to prevent losing a fight.

Is there anyway that a Bukkit MOD could be written to restrict logout, so that you need to be standing still for seconds before logging out ?

Well I thought somebody told me there was a plugin for it. Specified nothing though. I need one so people don't logout right away when they see me with my (non-spawned) enchanted diamond sword hunting down criminals

 

try Combat TAG
If a user logs out it makes a npc clone of them that their opponent can kill and take their items etc.
If your clone dies after you combat log.. you lose the items too when you log back in
(so yeah it solves the problem)

 

You can't restrict logging out in that way, because that's handled completely client side.

Instead, you can use a plugin such as Anti-PvPLogger to ensure that users are punished for logging out. Once they know that you have this, they will definitely stop being cowards.
