Hello, I am in desperate need of information. I am running a bukkit server and I run on hamachi. But when i wanted to convert from hamachi to normal IP my server works but the computer IP adress is being used on a different server aswell! Also localhost is not working either it says 'FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" perhaps its running on a different port?- which it isn't. So my questions are: Is there a way to solve this or is it a sheer coincidence that we run on the same IP address? If I decide to run it on the same IP adress as the server- will it affect my server in any way? Any solutions for my localhost problem?- does it have something to do with the whole situation? Looks like i'm stuck with hamachi for the time being. =(

You'll get that error when the port is already in use, for example, when you already have a server running and occupying that port. You could try changing server-port to something else than 25565, such as 25566. However, that requires you to portforward the port 25566 aswell. If you don't want to change the port, try checking the processes and see if Minecraft server is already running.
